Hello! My name is Srini Janarthanam. And I am a chatbot enthusiast. I have been developing chatbots for decades now. I built my very first chatbot in the year 2000, as an undergraduate student, for my student project. It was a built as an interface to a library database so that you can conversation with it about the books in the library. It is from there, that my journey in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing started.
We are now in the middle of a technological revolution. The collision of technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud computing are redefining the way we do business, big time. Chatbots, although have been in the offing for decades, have now become mainstream in the last few years and there are many big players who are vying to sell chatbot and AI services to make business consumer communication easier and seamless.
So what are chatbots anyway? Chatbots are a kind of software robots that you can have a chat with. Its like chatting to a friend on a chat service like Facebook Messenger, except that you will be chatting with a software robot. Since 2016, the industry has been buzzing with chatbots and as a result there are a number of tools and services that are available to design and develop chatbots. It can be confusing as to where to start. If you want to have taste of the leading tools in the industry by getting your hands dirty and building practical chatbots on a variety of platforms, please have a look at my book below.
Whether you are a business owner looking to see how chatbots can help you or a chatbot developer interested in how the technology is shaping up, I extend my warmest welcome to join the revolution. I hope you enjoy reading my blog posts. Please do leave your feedback so that I can learn from you and improve my posts.
